Group Organizes Free Medical Outreach In Ikeja

A Non Governmental Organization, NGO, Adara Stephen Abiodun Initiative, has held a medical initiative to residents in Ikeja.

When asked about the motive behind the event, the NGO’s founder, Adara Abiodun, said that it was aimed at promoting health awareness and accessibility and offer individuals opportunity to receive healthcare assessments without any cost.

At the initiative where men, women, and children were screened to monitor their vital signs. Abiodun said: “The role awareness of one’s health status plays a huge role in our well-being.

“When you know your health status, it gives you a guide on your dos and don’ts.

“We are trying to alleviate stress on the government, because the government cannot give us everything.”

The Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Youth Mobilization, Alabi Opeyemi, commended the group for organizing the event.

Opeyemi stressed on the importance of being mindful of physical and mental health, urging youths to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

He said: “If you aspire to be leaders of tomorrow, It’s vital to prioritize your well-being and maintain good health.”
