Group distributes food items, cash to over 2000 less privileged in Lagos
A group of Nigerian patriots under the aegis of Young Professionals For Tinubu (YP4T) has donated cash and food items to over 2000 indigent and less privileged members of the society including widows.
The event, which was the fifth edition of the annual show of love and support, saw thousands of people in the Highway Police Barracks and the Ikeja environ, filled with joy and excitement, as they trooped out to receive the largesse.
The event kicked off with a medical outreach tagged, ‘BATIFIED Medical Outreach’, where thousands of people received free medical check on different ailments, as well as free drugs and counseling.
Beneficiaries received food items such as bags of rice and bottles of groundnut oil as well as money.
Speaking at the event, the General Coordinator of YP4T, Alex Oware, noted that the group was aware of the socio-economic challenges in the country, hence its unflinching commitment to continue to support programmes that promote the people-oriented agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
“As a group of young professionals from different walks of life, we are committed to contributing our own quota to make the society better, and in line with the renewed hope agenda of the government of Nigeria, led by His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu.
“We’re not relenting. And by the grace of God, next year’s edition shall be better and bigger than this year’s event,” Oware promised.
