The UAH Volunteers, a non-profit organization dedicated to community development, launched a Trader’s Support Initiative on Thursday, targeting Petty Traders across Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.

Echonews reports that the initiative aims to provide financial support to small businesses in the community, empowering entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

As part of the initiative, UAH Volunteers moved through the grassroots communities of Ifako-Ijaiye, disbursing cash support to numerous Petty Traders whose businesses have been adversely affected by the economic situation in the area.

Alhaji Abolaji Mustapha, the Coordinator of the Team and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, emphasized that this initiative was a collaboration between the Office of the Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, and the H.E.E.D.S UAH administration.

The Cash Support presented to some traders was intended to aid those whose businesses had been struggling due to the current economic downturn, especially those who were frail, elderly, or ill and couldn’t generate profits due to lack of funding.

Alhaji Mustapha, Coordinator of the UAH Volunteers, declared, “We believe that small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and we are dedicated to supporting them.” He went on to explain that the organization’s goal is “to empower small-scale entrepreneurs in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government to become financially independent and contribute to the growth of their communities.”

UAH Volunteers, independently funded, have committed to continuing this initiative periodically, making positive impacts on small business owners in the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.
