Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, a prominent figure in Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye APC Apex leader and Governor’s Advisory Council member in Lagos State, praised the Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Bamigboye, for his generous distribution of food aid to the residents amidst the challenging global economic conditions.
At an event where 2000 individuals received substantial food packages and 300 residents received financial assistance, the Senator also noted the donation of a new computer system to enhance the registration process for the National Identification Management Commission office in Mushin.
Senator Solomon commended the Chairman for his consistent efforts in providing support to the community.
“We have to commend the Chairman and his team for putting this together because, in a time like this, people have to be given palliative as we are not equal even before God and man, so the government has to continue to give relief through palliative to the people that need it.
“As the President has promised us that things will soon be better, is just a matter of time. and before things become normal, palliatives like this have to be going on to ameliorate the situation.” Senator GOS said.
He added, “I hope the people are aware of the ongoing road construction and other laudable projects by the Chairman and I want to appeal to those people whose areas have not been touched to relax, I promised you they will come there.
Mr. Emmanuel Bamigboye, the Council Chairman, highlighted that Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye have an extensive network of over 800 streets, with ongoing construction on many roads.
He emphasized the need to complete these projects one by one, expressing confidence that once all the roads are finished, the people of Mushin will be proud of their government.
He acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in providing additional funds to the local government and emphasized the importance of utilizing these funds effectively for the overall development of the community and its residents.
“These were made possible by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for allocating more funds to the local government, I want to thank them for giving the local government what belongs to them so that we can perform, thank you Mr. President, Thank you, Mr. Governor.” The Chairman said.
The Chairman reassured the people that there will be another distribution of palliatives in the future for those who did not receive any this time, emphasizing the importance of paying taxes to fund more government projects for the people’s benefit.
He also highlighted some of the ongoing projects in the area, such as the renovation of Ayetoro and NAFRC Primary Schools and road construction projects, with plans for more road projects in the near future.
Various stakeholders, including members of political parties like the Labour Party and PDP, benefited from the palliative distribution, and recipients expressed gratitude for being considered worthy of receiving assistance. They carried the Ghana Must Go bags home with appreciation.
