Fusion Football Championship: Danjuma Babes beat G12 FC

Relegation threatened team in the Fusion Football Championship division, one Danjuma Babes defeated G12 FC 2-0 at legacy pitch, national stadium, Surulere Lagos.
The win for Danjuma Babes served as a morale booster for the club many people have written off so far as the league is concerned. However, the club proved them wrong with their great win against a dominant G12 FC side.
Pius Alicha and Yahya Ahmed grabbed the goals for Danjuma babes to secure a valuable 3 points.
Expectedly, G12 FC dominated possession in the first half with their scintillating passing moves but they could not get pass the unbreakable defense line of Danjuma Babes who were rock solid at the back.
Pius Alicha gave Danjuma Babes the breakthrough in the game by scoring the opening goal with a great finish to stun the brilliant G12 FC side.
G12 FC continued their dominance in the game but the goal custodian of Danjuma Babes, Paul Akor was superb by pulling up great saves to keep his team in the game.
Samuel Akere was guilty of wasting clear cut chances which should have been converted to goals.
Danjuma Babes tactics of absorbing pressure from G12 FC and hitting them on the counter attack were instrumental to their win as they doubled their win in the 49th minute through a sublime finish from Yahya Ahmed.
Despite domination possession in the game, G12 FC players were wasteful in front of goal as they wasted several chances that should be buried past their opponent.
G12 FC players exchanged too much passes at the edge of the 18 meters box of Danjuma Babes FC and failed to fire shots on goal which did not help the team in that regard.
Danjuma Babes FC were able to grind out a joyous win over the technical G12 side who are 4th on the log of the Fusion Football Championship, while the win for Danjuma Babes shot them to 11th place on the table.
