A non-profit, Non- governmental and apolitical health, education & advocacy organization whose mission is to restore and improve vision and ocular alignment in children has given primary school pupil in Odi Olowo-Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, free eyes glasses.
The distribution took place on the second day of the health program that was started last week at Kosybethel Primary School in Ilupeju.
Beginning with free eye exams and treatments for the younger students, today’s culmination saw the students gratefully accept their spectacles.
Mr. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, the chairman of the council, expressed his gratitude to the Restore Foundation for Child Sight (RFCS) for their crucial support.
Mr. Nureini Ogunbona, the LCDA’s Supervisor for Health, relayed the word.
Ajala emphasized how successful the first day had been in diagnosing and treating a range of eye problems, and she revealed that children who had troubles were booked for follow-up evaluations. Individuals in need of surgical procedures were scheduled for future procedures.
The council chairman reaffirmed his commitment to offering top-notch healthcare services and pledged to carry out more initiatives, including new programs.
He encouraged the people in attendance to take part in the upcoming health program, which is set for tomorrow.
The initiative will provide free adult eyeglasses as well as thorough examinations and treatments for a range of illnesses, including eye care.
Mr. Nureini Ogunbona expressed gratitude to Dr. Fafunsho, the MOH for the LCDA, for her unwavering support and commitment.
The presence of the councilor for the ward, Mr.Bode Adeosun, further underscored the collaborative community effort.
The inclusive programme succeeded in reaching children from diverse wards, ensuring that the distribution of free eyeglasses made a meaningful impact on the community’s well-being.
