In a decisive effort to deliver tangible dividends of democracy and protect the residents of Raji Abayomi Street from the perennial threat of flooding, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, has initiated an extensive drainage desilting and reconstruction project.
This critical intervention comes as part of the chairman’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the well-being of the community. Speaking on the project, Oloyede emphasized that ensuring a flood-free environment and safeguarding the health and safety of residents are among his foremost priorities. “Our goal is to create a conducive living environment where every resident can thrive without the fear of flooding or other hazards that may disrupt their daily lives,” he stated.
As the reconstruction gets underway, Oloyede reassured the public that the project will not only be delivered within the stipulated timeframe but also maintain the high standards of quality his administration is known for. “We are committed to delivering a durable solution that will stand the test of time. Our focus is on doing the job right, as we have always done,” he added.
He also called for the cooperation of residents during the construction period, urging patience as contractors work diligently to enhance the street’s infrastructure. “We understand the inconvenience caused by the ongoing work and ask for your understanding and support as we strive to provide a lasting solution.”
