First Bank Declares 2024 Amateur Golf Championship Open

First Bank Nigeria PLC has declared the commencement of this year’s Amateur Golf Championship to be held in Lagos.

To mark 63 years of empowering golf competition excellence, the premier financial institution has organized the competition billed for 18th to 24th of November.

According the financial body, the tournament, established under the First@Sports initiative is a testament of the institution’s unwavering commitment to sports development and nation-building.

First Bank, while stating it’s interest in other sports such as polo and tennis informed that the golf competition will involve amateur golfers from around the globe, which will impact positively into careers of aspiring individuals in Nigeria.

The edition will introduce two components: “Search for 4 Stars”which according to the organizers will empower 150 male & female caddies at Ikoyi Club of ages 18-30.

The second component “Championship Kitty” will showcase golfers with a handicap of 10 and above to promote inclusivity and diversity.
