The Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, is on the verge of implementing an initiative known as E-Invoice for improvement of tax administration.
FIRS announced on Wednesday in Lagos that its plan to launch the digital platform designed is in accordance with the Tax Administration and Enforcement Act of 2007.
Zacchaeus Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the body, during a stakeholders engagement with the theme “Emerging Tax Matters”, stated that the plan is essential as the nation sets it’s attention towards innovating it’s tax system.
The FIRS boss who was represented by Oti Olaniyi, Acting Director, Medium Taxpayers Department, FIRS, said, “Our collective efforts will pave the way for a more prosperous and resilient Nigeria.
“As we move forward, we encourage you to support these initiatives with constructive feedback and collaboration.
“By doing so, we can all build a stronger, more resilient economy that benefits everyone.”
