Enyimba International head coach, Finidi George has set the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) title target for the Nigeria national team.
The Ex international recently guided the People’s Elephant to win the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) title at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Largos.
Finidi said it’s every Africa nation dream to win the AFCON but the success of each qualified team depends on how they start the tournament.
He added, the Super Eagles will be approaching the 2024 AFCON with the mindset of winning the title.
“Every country wants to win the AFCON even before the competition begins, but when you get there, it all depends on how you start the tournament.
“If you start well, and the confidence builds up, that will take you even further. So, we aim to win it, but you never know what can happen.
“We’ll go there with the mindset to win it. The first mission for the AFCON is to win it.”
Finidi was part of the Super Eagles squad to win the 1994 AFCON and the 1996 Olympics in USA.
