In the spirit of the festive season, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Sports, Hon. Damilare Orimoloye, has spread goodwill and relief among youths in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) with the distribution of food boxes, reinforcing the values of compassion, unity and community support.

The outreach, which attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries, was aimed at easing the economic pressure on young people during the festive period while promoting love and shared responsibility within the community.

Addressing the youths during the distribution exercise, Hon. Orimoloye explained that the gesture reflects the commitment of the Lagos State Government to the welfare and well-being of young people across the state, particularly at the grassroots.

He conveyed the appreciation of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the youths of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA for their continued support of his administration, commending them for their loyalty and active participation in the democratic process.

Hon. Orimoloye specifically praised the youths for standing firmly with the All Progressives Congress (APC), especially during the recent Local Government elections, describing their support as crucial to the stability, progress and development of Lagos State.

According to him, the food boxes were distributed as a token of gratitude and solidarity, encouraging beneficiaries to celebrate the festive season in an atmosphere of peace, unity and joy.

He further urged the youths to remain peaceful, law-abiding and supportive of government programmes and policies aimed at youth empowerment, social inclusion and sustainable development.

Several beneficiaries described the initiative as timely and thoughtful, expressing gratitude to Hon. Orimoloye and the Lagos State Government for remembering them during the festive season. They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the policies and initiatives of the Sanwo-Olu administration.

The outreach once again highlighted the role of responsive leadership in strengthening the bond between government and the people, particularly at the grassroots level, where small but meaningful gestures continue to make a lasting impact.
