FEFCAN Collaborates With Lagos State DFA Chairmen On Women’s Football Growth

Five Lagos State divisional football association (DFA) chairmen’s have pledged their maximum support to Female Football Club Association of Nigeria (FEFCAN), lauding their initiative programs and commitment to women football development.

The five DFA’s includes: Ikeja DFA chairman, Evangelist Rafiu Taiwo Alagbe, Badagry DFA chairman, Dr. Osondu Martins, Ikorodu DFA chairman, Alhaji Sonibare Lukman, Chairman Lagos DFA, Alhaji Saheed Bakare and chairman Epe DFA, Mr Felix Adekoya.

Since it’s formulation, the body has led several developmental competition as the drive for continuous improvement for the women’s game, all round remains a core priority.

The president of FEFCAN, Oluwatobi Oyekan said the support and commitment rendered by the Lagos State Divisional FA chairmen shows the progressive journey the association have embarked on since formation.

He’s optimistic that the collaboration with the DFA Bosses will strategically grow women’s football in the grassroots and provide a developmental plan for the players and coaches.

“Today is a testament that there is strength in unity and when progressives journey together the path is always rewarding,” Oyekan said.

“Our collaboration with the distinguished 5 DFA Chairmen is a strategic partnership that will grow and bring women’s game to all thereby creating an avenue for talent discovery, proper growth track, enhancing the development of not just the players but coaches, administrators, team managers as well, promote women’s empowerment and economic growth, boost commercial value of women’s game.

“This is a win win scenario for all the stakeholders involved and I would like to appreciate FEFCAN executives, board of advisers, well wishers, media outlets, our amiable and visionary 5 Lagos DFA Chairmen on this remarkable project.”

As the association continues in its unrelenting pursuit for success, the DFA’s vote of confidence further propels a deep sense of responsibility and desire to keep striving for excellence.
