FEFAP Celebrates Sports Personalities As JoJo Queens Wins Penalty Shoot-Out Tournament

The Female Football Academy Proprietors (FEFAP) hosted a memorable celebration of women’s football, recognising outstanding contributors to the sport while crowning JoJo Queens as champions of their exciting penalty shoot-out tournament.
A total of 20 member clubs competed fiercely in the penalty shoot-out event, held at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Football Arena in Ilupeju, Lagos. JoJo Queens emerged victorious, showcasing impressive accuracy and composure to secure the title with a strong conversion rate.
In a special awards segment, FEFAP paid tribute to key figures driving the growth of women’s football in the region. Lagos FA Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed, alongside Rotimi Vianney Diego and Emmanuel Osahon, received well-deserved recognition for their significant and tireless contributions to the development of the women’s game.
Additional honours went to Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr. Seyi Jakande, and the immediate past chairman of the LCDA, Mr. Rasaq Ajala, for their landmark achievements and support in advancing sports at the grassroots level.
The event also highlighted recent success of Wafa, with Wazbak Queens lifting the 2025 WAFA League title at Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode.
FEFAP also awarded three promising young players from its member clubs, Muinat Rotimi, Olamide Olanrewaju and Waliat Rotimi, who represented Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
