FEDSA Commends Hon. Olowa’s Digital Education Drive in Ibeju-Lekki

The Federation of Epe Division Students’ Association (FEDSA) has commended the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, for his forward-thinking approach to education through a digital learning initiative that is transforming classrooms across the region.
The commendation follows the council’s recent partnership with Pan-Atlantic University (PAU), which saw the distribution of computer tablets to Senior Secondary School 3 students in public schools. The initiative, according to the council, aims to bridge the digital divide, promote e-learning, and prepare students for a knowledge-driven global economy.
FEDSA, in a statement, described the programme as “visionary and progressive,” noting that Hon. Olowa’s leadership continues to empower young learners through previous bursary awards, scholarship schemes, and now, digital empowerment. The group urged other local governments in Lagos State to emulate Ibeju-Lekki’s model to improve access to digital education.
Speaking at the launch event, Hon. Olowa emphasised that the digital education project was more than just a distribution of devices — it represents “an investment in the minds of the next generation.” He added that digital literacy is essential to unlocking creativity, innovation, and competitiveness among youths in a fast-evolving world.
Community members, including parents and educators, have praised the initiative for enhancing access to online study materials and improving exam readiness. However, experts have also called for sustained efforts in teacher training, maintenance, and internet connectivity to ensure long-term success.
As Ibeju-Lekki moves steadily toward becoming a model for technology-driven education in Lagos State, FEDSA’s applause stands as a powerful endorsement of Hon. Olowa’s vision to equip every child with the tools to thrive in a digital future.
