The Fausat Balogun Memorial Cup have reached its climax stage where the champion of the tournament will emerge between Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens or Papa Soccer Academy.
Eletu Queens are the defending champions of the tournament having won the inaugural edition and are in a position to defend their crown against Papa Soccer Academy.
Epe based side, Papa Soccer Academy had a smooth run in the Semifinal as they defeated Aseyori Queens 3-0.
Eletu Queens played a 1-1 fulltime draw before emerging victorious 5-3 in the penalty shootout against Future Stars 99.
Speaking to ECHONEWS, the LOC chairman, Mayate Mathew commended the clubs that participated in the tournament and urged the finalists to abide by the rules of the game.
He further noted that the final will be devoid of unbalanced officiating as top referees have been contacted to officiate the game.
Mayate stated that the winner of the competition will go home with 100,000 naira, while the runner-up will be awarded 60,000 naira.
The final of the Fausat Balogun Memorial Cup will hold on Wednesday, March 20 at the Igbowu mini pitch, Mushin by 4pm.
