Famuyiwa Pledges To Complete Projects In Agbado-Oke Odo

In an effort to assuage the concerns of residents, Eng David Oladapo Famuyiwa, the Chairman of Agbado Oke Odo LCDA, reassured the community that all ongoing projects in the area will be completed without delay.

 

During the flag-off ceremony for the Olawale-Cole Street project in Abule Egba, the chairman appealed to residents to be patient and support the contractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the road.

 

The Council Boss noted that, after several years of delay, the project was finally underway, declaring that the “jinx” surrounding the road construction had been lifted. He added that if the proper processes had been followed in 2018, the road would have been completed much sooner.

 

Famuyiwa revealed that, as part of the project, the road would be equipped with reliable drainage channels and electricity supply. He urged the residents to fulfill their civic responsibility by paying their taxes, as this would enable the council to embark on more community-oriented projects.

 

He went on to credit the leader of the House and the Legislative arm of the council for their crucial role in the realization of the project, praising their commitment to serving the community.

 

Finally, the chairman extended his gratitude to the council’s management team for their unwavering support in bringing this project to fruition.

 

Akinola Olalekan, Supervisor for Works, expressed his delight at the Chairman’s commitment to making the long-awaited project a reality. He stated his belief that the road construction would be completed in a timely manner and extended his gratitude to the former Chairman for his efforts.

 

Eng Oluwaseun Emmanuel, project manager of the contractor, Skiddo Construction & Engineering Limited, highlighted that the 400m road was part of the area’s redevelopment efforts. He assured the community that his team would adhere to the job specification and called upon their support for the successful and timely completion of the project within 10 months.

 

 

The CDC Chairman, Mr Ernest Kasumu said it was a day of joy for them and assured the construction company of full support of residents.

 

He believe that soon the council will move to another site within the council and called the attention of Chairman on the need to complete the road at Omi Ata bus stop.

 

Joint CDC Chairman, Alhaji Olaide promised the council of support to the contractor and close monitoring of the construction after completion.

 

National Youth Council Osuntoye demanded that the contractor should employ youths in the area while the job last.
