Exclusive: Ikenne To Host 2025 NWFL Premiership Super Six

The 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six have been exclusively confirmed to hold at the Remo Stars Sports Club stadium in Ikenne.

This will be the first time that the private stadium edifice will host the NWFL Premiership Super Six having previously hosted the 2023 NWFL Championship which saw Dannaz Ladies and Remo Stars Ladies securing promotion to the topflight women’s football league in Nigeria.

According to a trusted source who craved anonymity, the NWFL board arrived at the decision to hold the Super Six in Ikenne due to its World class facilities which have become a bedrock for hosting international football matches and competitions.

The first three clubs from the two abridged NWFL Premiership groups will qualify for the Super Six playoffs to decide the ultimate winner of the league.

The Remo Stars stadium which was opened in 2020, hosted its first league game in 2021 and have a seating capacity of 5,000.

The stadium boasts of state of the art facilities which includes high quality locker rooms, press areas, medical facilities, training pitches and the stadium facility got a major boost recently with the addition of an electronic advertising board thereby making it the first of its kind in a private sport facility in the country.

The stadium possesses high quality floodlights to ensure unhindered optimal visibility during night games for players and spectators.
