The Italian national team and England national team have had a great outing at this year Euro 2020, the English side are hoping to end their 55 year wait to reach a major men’s final, while the Italian side are eager to win their second Euros after losing the 2012 final to Spain
Italy is the only team in the tournament that have a hundred percent record at the group stage by grabbing the 9 point at stake before setting up a round of 16 clash with Austria who they beat 2-1 at extra time, before sealing a quarter final berth against World No 1 side Belgium, who they also defeated 2-1.
The Azzurri played a 1-1 draw with the Spanish national team in the semi-final, before eventually beating them through penalty shootout following the heroic saves from Gianluigi Donnarumma which sealed the Italian side place in the final of the Euros.
England knocked off Germany at the round of 16, defeated the Ukrainian side before ending the run of Denmark in the semi-final 2-1 and finally cemented a place in the final.
The last time 4 time World cup winners Italy won the Euros was in 1968 after losing the 2000 final to France and 2012 final to Spain and they are eager to end the drought.
The last time England won a major trophy was the 1966 World cup and this is their first Euro final.
England has the best defense in the Euro 2020 so far after conceding only one goal in the tournament against Denmark.
More than 60,000 fans will be allowed into Wembley after the ground’s capacity was permitted to increase to 75 per cent for the final three games of the competition.
