Eti-Osa Rewards Youth Creativity On World Tourism Day

The Vice Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Mr Idowu Badru, has presented cash prizes to the top five winners of the Eti-Osa Online Video Contest, held in celebration of this year’s World Tourism Day.
The winners were hosted at the council secretariat, where Badru, representing the Executive Chairman, Omo’ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, commended their creativity and innovation in showcasing Eti-Osa’s culture, values, and talent.
The contest, designed to inspire youth participation and community engagement, provided a platform for residents to express their ingenuity through digital storytelling while promoting the local government’s rich cultural heritage.
Hon. Badru emphasised that initiatives like the contest are crucial for fostering digital inclusion, grassroots development, and empowering young people in Eti-Osa.
“This contest has not only highlighted the creativity of our people but also shown the potential of digital platforms in community building and tourism promotion,” he said, assuring residents that the administration remains committed to supporting such programs.
The winners expressed gratitude to the council leadership for the recognition and pledged to continue using their talents to project the positive image of Eti-Osa.
