Eti-Osa Chairman Adetoro Calls for Unity, Progress in Independence Day Message
The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo’ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, patriotism, and community service as the country marks its 65th Independence anniversary.
In a goodwill message delivered on Wednesday, Adetoro congratulated citizens across the nation, with special recognition to the industrious residents of Eti-Osa. She described Independence Day as more than a symbolic celebration, emphasising it as a call to action for renewed commitment toward building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
“Today, we celebrate the freedom and unity that bind us together. Let us remember our collective strength and the sacrifices of our founding fathers,” she said. “The promise of hope is real, and Eti-Osa shall continue to be a beacon of opportunity, growth, and transformation for all residents.”
Adetoro reaffirmed the council’s alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s progressive leadership, pledging that Eti-Osa will continue to drive inclusive policies, sustainable development, and people-centred governance.
Calling on residents to remain steadfast, she stressed the importance of peace, patriotism, and responsibility in unlocking Nigeria’s potential.
“Together, we shall rise above challenges and unlock the full potential of our beloved local government and Nigeria at large,” the chairman added.
She concluded by wishing Nigerians a happy 65th Independence anniversary, praying for the continued prosperity of Eti-Osa, Lagos State, and the entire nation.
