Mrs. Omoloa Essien, Chairperson, Lagos Mainland
The Rotary Club of Lagos Mainland on Tuesday 28th September honoured Hon. Mrs Omolola Essien, the executive chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government with a meritorious award of service. The event which took place at the Council's secretariat had in attendance; *Rotarian 'Remi Bello* (District Governor), *Rotarian Ehi Braimah* (District Secretary), *Rotarian Kamal Ola' Opoola* (AG/SA- District Governor),*Rotarian Kunle Saliu* (Deputy District Secretary), *Rotarian Oluwafunke Oluwa* (Change Maker President), *Rotarian Arigbabu Kareem* (Assistant Governor), *Rotarian Akibu Bankole* (Assistant Governor),*Rotarian Akeem Sunmonu* (Past President/Tree Planting Chair), and *Rotarian Seun Williams* (Past President). The award was received by the council Boss in the company of LMLG's Head of Administration, *Mr Olusegun Ajagunna* and *Mr Wasiu Oladimeji Ogunniyi*. *Mr Wasiu Oladimeji Ogunniyi* while thanking the Rotary Club of Lagos Mainland appreciates the district's governor, *Rotarian Remi Bello* and his team for their thoughtful gesture towards the ever-working chairman and reiterated that the award is a good one and the fact that it is given to a humanitarian like *Hon. Mrs Essien* who has been at the forefront of changing the face of political leadership and provision of social welfare for the people of Lagos Mainland Local Government is a welcome objective. He went further to pledge the support of *Hon. Essien* to the Rotary family and to the people of the Local Government Area whose mandate she said, shall be guided and guarded jealously.
