Epic Showdown Looms In Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Gold Cup Final

The final of the fifth edition of the Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup is set to experience an unprecedented epic showdown between three time finalists, Unification Ladies and FC Phoenix Queens also known as the Olugbani Girls.
The glamorous women’s football final will be held at the Strong Tower Academy Football Pitch, Ikorodu on Sunday, February 15.
Unification Ladies defeated Wazbak Queens with a lone goal to seal their position in the final for the third time.
FC Phoenix Queens edged Unizee Sheila FC 1-0 to qualify for their maiden final of the Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup.
The convener of the impactful tournament, Mr Adeoye Abiodun said the standard of the competition has been improving every year while the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tourney will be provided a professional contract to continue her career outside the shores of the country.
Wazbak Queens will trade tackles with Unizee Sheila for the third place finish as both teams fight for honor to take home the consolation position.
Abeebat Adediran of Wazbak Queens and Favour Joseph of Phoenix Queens tops the goal scoring chart with four goals each, they are closely followed by Unification Ladies star, Philomena Ologunleko who’s on three goals.
