Employees On Trial For Stealing Company’s N39m Properties

Three men are facing prosecution for allegedly stealing their employer’s properties valued at N39.4m.

The accused appeared before the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy and stealing.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the accused: Daniel Aniefok, 40, a Sales Representative, Olayinka Adejare, 34, Sales Manager; and Peace Ohaegbulam, 34, a cashier, committed the offences between January 2023 and May 2024, at the company identified as Royal Priesthood Electronics warehouse, Ayobo, Lagos.

The prosecutor disclosed that the company, after an audit of it’s account books discovered that some items were missing and unaccounted for.

He listed the missing goods to include Air Conditioners, Smart TVs, LG fridges, generator sets, all valued N39, 488, 286 .93.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N1.5million each, with two sureties in like sum.

Osunsanmi adjourned the case until August 5.
