The Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon. Adebayo Olasoju has congratulated the member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I at the Federal Hoise of Representatives, Hon. Bashir Dawodu on his victory at Electoral Tribunal.
Dawodu’s election was on Monday upheld in a judgement delivered by the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.
In a swift reaction to the tribunal’s pronouncement via a release from his media office, Olasoju described the party’s victory as a reflection of the people’s will and the triumph of light over darkness.
“Nothing could be more pleasing to my mind than the upholding of Dr. Bashir Dawodu’s victory by the tribunal. Given the massive support the good people of Oshodi Constituency gave our party at the polls, it would have amounted to a disservice to them were the self-seeking and mischievous prayers of the Peoples Democratic Party given any favourable consideration.”
While extending his congratulatory message to the leadership of the party in Oshodi-Isolo LGA and the state on a larger note, the council boss noted his utmost optimism to have the legal victory replicated in Isolo soonest.
“It is my pleasure to warmly congratulate the government, our great party and the good people of Oshidi-Isolo LGA on this landmark victory as I strongly hope to have our own Engr. Johnson and the party leadership in Isolo bombarded with congratulatory messages when we would have cruised home to victory at the tribunal too in a matter of days,” Olasoju said.
Only last week, Olasoju, while commenting on a post breaking the news of the upturning of the victory of Seyi Sowunmi of the Labour Party in favour of Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi of the APC on one of the local platforms, prayed that: “So shall we celebrate Engr Johnson’s victory in Jesus name.”
