Eko League: Shola FC defeats Unizee FC away from home

The Eko League started in good style as Shola FC defeated Unizee FC 2-1.

The Shola FC boys came from a goal down to knockout Unizee FC in great style as they picked their first 3 points of the 2022 Eko League campaign.

Unizee FC playing in front of their home fans took the lead in the first half as Shola FC tried to find their rhythm of the game.

Both sides had a good first half as the high tempo game created lots of chances for the teams.

Shola FC resurrected in the second half as they equal the score line through Junior Olafimihan with a beautiful goal to redeem the players.

The equalizing goal from Shola FC was what they needed to wakeup the squad from their slumber as they dominated proceedings of the game and pegged Unizee FC back to their own half with their swift attacking play.

Less than ten minutes to go in the match, Hakeem Ademola popped up to net the winning goal for Shola FC as they shocked their host, Unizee FC who couldn’t believe that, they are been beaten in their home ground.

Unizee FC tried getting a goal in the game but Shola FC stood their ground to snatch an important 3 Maxim points in their opening game in the Eko League.
