The Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Dr. Paul Fregene, has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Nigeria chapter of the Africa Political Consultant Association (APCA).
Fregene was selected during a virtual executive meeting of the Association under the leadership of Mr. Kip Kirui (Kenya), and Mr. Tope Ajayi (SSA to PBAT, Nigeria), held on Saturday.
The Nigerian chapter President of the Association, Mrs. Temitope Lakisokun, commended Fregene for his commitment to the development of the Association in Nigeria, saying the post is well deserved.
She said: “Thank you so much for your kind words, my brother. I really appreciate your commitment to APCA.
“You are a valuable member of our association and I’m confident that this new role will bring about positive and transformative changes, propelling the Nigerian chapter to new heights.
I look forward to our collaborative efforts and to what we will achieve together.”
Speaking, the new Secretary General explained that the exposure to the association and its activities started in Ethiopia in 2019, to Senegal in 2022, and to Morocco in 2023.
In his acceptance speech, he said the drive was “for our Africa Political Consultant Content to be vivid and explicitly seen before and during campaign messages to the electorate.
“Thanks to my political mentor, the immediate past President of APCA and Special Adviser to Hon. Minister of Solid Minerals, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan for giving me the enabling environment to thrive, and also the Scribe 57 of Lagos State.”
