At least, two bills have been passed by the legislative arm of Ejigbo LCDA within the last two months.

The Council Leader, Hon. Olanrewaju Akinbowale (Larry), said the councillors have been working on the bills and many others since they assumed office few weeks ago.

He stated that the House has successfully passed environmental bye law and security bye law for the provision of night security in all communities, which is very critical to the residents.

He disclosed that the laws are meant to secure the community both in the health and security sectors as the safety of the residents is paramount to the government.

The council leader said the councillors have also been doing their oversight functions by inspecting some important places in the community to see their challenges for proper solutions such as Ejigbo Police Divisional Headquarters, Jakande Market.

He disclosed a plan to visit Oba Moroof Ojoola’s palace, the magistrate court, Community Development Committee (CDC) and many others to get more contributions and ideas that would benefit the community.

He said aside from the two passed bills, there are about nine bills they are working on while assuring that a public hearing would be organised by the first quarter of next year.

He maintained that the general publics are expected to make contributions to the bills before they are passed into bye laws.

He, therefore, appealed to all concerned to join hands in aiding the execution of all approved projects by the council Chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) for quick development.
