The Community Development Committee (CDC), Ejigbo LCDA has inaugurated a 10-man committee charged with the responsibility of scouting the communities to identity people’s needs and mobilise resources to meet the needs to relieve the residents during the stay-at-home period.

The CDC chairman, Prince Jelili Atiku, charged the committee chaired by Alhaji Tajudeen Sanni (Labule), to be fully committed to the community welfare and not to be political in its dealings, appealing that all should be ready to serve humanity at this emergency period.

He said the committee was to target the people in real need who could not help themselves at this period, saying the team should provide palliative measures such as food, healthcare and others.
The committee was tasked to meet with some well-to-do in the community for resources and to go round the community to distribute those items to the needy in the community.

The committee, made up of selected CDA chairmen from the six wards in Ejigbo, was urged to ensure the community is safe and to stop anyone found going against the stay-at-home order like opening of shops and playing of football on the roads especially the youths.

Preventive kits which comprised sanitisers, nose covers, gloves and handwash were handed over to the committee to give out to the people in the community as it was charged to meet capable people in their community for donations to meet the people needs.

Meanwhile, the CDC gave the committee N130,000 to start with to get relief materials for the people in the community.

Members of the committee include Alhaji Tajudeen Sanni (Labule) – Chairman and Mr. Akeem Oduyoye – Secretary.
