The Eti-Osa Indigenous Students Association (EISA) successfully concluded its 2024 Extramural Summer Coaching Exercise with a grand finale .
The event, which took place at Jamaatul Islamiya Primary School in Igbo-Efon, Eti-Osa, brought together over 300 students from three tutorial centers to celebrate their educational accomplishments.
Comrade Ajibade Toheeb Babatunde, the 14th EISA National President, expressed his pride in the students’ hard work and dedication.
He encouraged them to apply the knowledge they had gained to their future academic pursuits, emphasizing that the skills they learned would serve them well in their upcoming classes.
Babatunde also took the opportunity to recognize the invaluable support from the executive chairmen of the local government areas, including Hon. Bankole Saheed, Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa LGA; Hon. John Campos Ogundare, Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA; and Princess (Hon.) Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, Executive Chairman of Iru/VI LCDA.
“Their unwavering commitment to education has been a crucial factor in our success, and we are honored to have them as partners in shaping the leaders of tomorrow,” Babatunde said.
The special guest of honor, who is also the 8th EISA National President, delivered an inspiring speech, urging the students to remain true to themselves, pursue their passions, and continue seeking knowledge.
“Embrace learning, set goals, build relationships, stay organized, and practice self-care,” he advised, underscoring the importance of lifelong learning.
Hon. Jubril Olasupo, the 12th EISA National President and Majority Leader of the Lagos Youth Parliament, praised the current EISA administration for its dedication to fostering a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.
He commended the team for their tireless efforts in providing quality education to the youth of Eti-Osa.
The grand finale featured a variety of exciting activities, including a Spelling Bee, Debate Competition, Dance Challenge, and an awards presentation. Students were recognized for their achievements, and certificates were handed out to deserving participants.
