The Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Ejigbo LCDA, Dr Paul Fregene has disclosed the impacts of sport in the life of kids at the just concluded Oladele Alake Primary School Inter-House Sport.
Fregene believes exceptional kids in sport should be nurtured and given the necessary support to excel in it.
The Ejigbo LCDA chairman aspirant for the 2025 Lagos State Local Government elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC) said he was satisfied with the performance of the kids at the sport event. He lauded the enthusiasm and energy of the kids in showing their sport skills which should be supported and keyed into by the government private companies and individuals to identify the talented students who will go on to make Lagos State and Nigeria proud.
Fregene further revealed that if elected as chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, his administration will take sport as a priority, identify talented youngsters and key into their their growth.
He says the talented kids need to be strengthened and their development will be a priority to his administration if elected as chairman of Ejigbo LCDA. He promised to follow, build more on the legacies of the former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in Lagos state, Kehinde Bamigbetan and the chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Mr Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE) in strengthening sport and kids participation in sporting activities.
He added sport is an integral part of kids life and the talented ones shouldn’t be neglected as their potentials can nurture superstars in the future.
The head teacher of Oladele Alake Primary School, Mrs Louisa Aguwa appreciated the dignitaries who showed support for the Inter-House sport as she hailed the students for giving their best in the recreational activity.
Yellow House won the Oladele Alake Primary School Inter-House sport with a total of 834 points, Pink House came second with 425 points, while Green House finished on the bronze podium with 346 points.
Blue House missed out on the podium finish with a fourth place finish with 286 points.
