Delta Queens players have expressed lack of motivation from the Delta State government following their engagements at the Wafu B Champions League Qualifiers in Benin.
The club are representing Nigeria and are expected to be highly motivated to discharge their duties effectively and bring honor to the Delta state government.
Some of the Delta Queens players who spoke to our correspondence pleaded anonymity said they aren’t happy with the situation they are in and appeals to the state government to come to their aid to release the necessary funds for their unpaid allowances, and bonuses.
The players revealed they had to motivate their selfs to give their best in the opening game of the Wafu B Champions League and as champions of Nigeria they must win the tournament in Benin to qualify for the CAF Champions League in Ivory Coast in November.
This disappointment has caused a major setback in the players morale who should have been given the best motivation by the Delta State government so that the players wouldn’t be carried away or lose concentration at a time they needed to be at their best most.
