Mafoluku and Ewutuntun Primary Schools are the two schools that benefited from the chairs and tables facilitated by the Member of House of Representatives in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, Hon. Dr Bashiru Dawodu.
ECHONEWS gathered that the educational equipment is part of the support distributed by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) to the 360 constituencies across the nation.
Speaking to ECHONEWS, the South West Zonal Officer of UBEC, Alhaji Baba Asaju, said the Commission shared the resources within its capacity among all the schools in the constituencies according to the lists submitted by the reps members across the nation.
He explained that members of the House of Representatives had submitted names of schools in their constituencies to UBEC for support such as school renovation and or sharing of instructional materials whenever they are available.
“I am done with the distribution of educational materials in Lagos. I am going back to Abeokuta where I have my office. The assigned personnel to Lagos has confirmed that the materials (chairs and tables) have been duly delivered to the schools.”
While speaking, Dawodu said he listed the schools for the intervention to ensure pupils learn conveniently, promising to do more in the education sector to ensure qualitative education in his constituency.
