As part of efforts to salvage the problems confronting entertainment industry especially at the grassroots, the member representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency I at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. According to the lawmaker, the programme, which was stimulated by the Executive Director/CEO, National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Alhaji Adedayo Thomas, became necessary to educate the marketers and distributors on how to move the industry forward, promising to keep eyes on the industry and render the necessary support.

Speaking during the programme, the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharm. Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile revealed that the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has released the sum of N1billion palliative loan to support the Tourism, Art and Entertainment industry in general which the film marketers and distributors could access.

She explained that the loan could be accessed by the industry without any form of 5 percent tax rate as it is meant to ensure prosperity in the industry.

Meanwhile, the NFVCB CEO called for strong collaboration between the Board and Lagos State government to restructure the industry.

He commended the governor for appointing capable hand to move the industry forward.
