Dauda Inaugurates New Officials to Strengthen Ikeja Local Government Administration

The Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Akeem Olalekan Dauda, has sworn in the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government, Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers during a ceremony held at the council secretariat in Ikeja.
The oath of office was administered by the council’s Director of Legal Services, Olubusola Bailey, who reminded the appointees of the need to perform their duties in accordance with the law and in the best interests of residents.
Among those inaugurated was Prince Yinka Illo as Secretary to the Local Government.
The newly sworn in Supervisory Councillors include Edward Aragbonfo, Omotayo Aderinola, Adeshola Adeniyi, Dada Adams, Ayotunde Adenuga, Matthew Ojewunmi, Segun Aderowo, Pelumi Ologunde and Funmbi Akinduro.
Special Advisers inaugurated at the ceremony include Jumoke Ogunyemi, Oluwaseun Makinde, Joseph Christopher, Folashade Bajobi, Ganiyu Oladeji, Femi Adeyemi, Austin Omoruyi and Saheed Ekundayo.
In his remarks, Dauda congratulated the officials and described their appointments as a call to service.
He urged them to demonstrate dedication, loyalty and commitment to the development of Ikeja Local Government, noting that their collective efforts would support the administration’s drive to deliver effective governance and improved welfare for residents.
The Council Chairman also called on the appointees to work in unity, uphold transparency and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and transformation of the local government area.
Dignitaries at the ceremony included the Vice Chairman of the council, Abisola Omisore; the Council Manager, Juliana Taiwo Odubeko; as well as several political leaders and stakeholders from the area.
All appointees had earlier undergone a screening exercise before members of the Legislative Council earlier in the day prior to their official inauguration.
