Dannaz Ladies Wins 2025 Lagos FA Cup Title

Dannaz Ladies have cemented their name in history books as they emerged the champions of the 2025 Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) Cup in grand style.

The Cedars edged Unification Ladies 1-0 to win the coveted title in Lagos State.

Omotoke Ogunfuwa second half penalty was all it takes as the NWFL Premiership side was given a run for their money by Unification Ladies at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

A tipsy first half saw Unification Ladies confident on the ball and gave Dannaz Ladies a spirited competition.

The dimension of the game twisted in the favour of the Cedars in the second half as Unification Ladies was penalized by the center referee for handling the ball with her hand in the 18 yard box.

Ogunfuwa took no prisoners as she stepped up to send the goalkeeper the wrong way to give Dannaz Ladies the lead.

Unification Ladies weren’t deterred for conceding first in the game as they piled pressure on the Cedars but were unfortunate not to find the back of the net.

The win sees Dannaz Ladies winning the Lagos FA Cup for the first time in their history and with fellow finalists Unification Ladies, they will represent Lagos State in the NFF Federation Cup where the battle it out against other states clubs.
