COVID-19 relief stimulus: Youths, CDC, others commend Obe
By Olushola Okewole
The youths under the umbrella of National Youths Council of Nigeria, the Community Development Committee and other residents of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have applauded the council chairman, Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe) for giving relief stimulus to the vulnerable and less privileged across all communities in Ejigbo LCDA.
Last week, the council chairman through the CDAs distributed 4,000 tubers of yams, 1,000 crates of eggs, 1,000 loaves of bread and 100 bags of rice as relief packages to the indigents in the community to ease them of hunger in this emergency period of covid-19.
Commenting, the acting youth coordinator, Mr. Akintunde Akinyele, said the youths really commended the council chairman for putting smile on the faces of the less privileged and the needy in Ejigbo during Covid-19 curfew.

He noted that the food items distributed to 3300 people, 30 from each of the 110 CDAs with additional 1,800 packages distributed to Ejigbo Christian Association of Nigeria, Muslim Bodies, Hausas, Igbos and Some Indigenous Committee would have more impact than some other benefits.
He said the excitement could be felt from the residents who were given the packages, saying the foods brought a sigh of relief to them in their various homes.
