COVID-19: Isolo LCDA fumigates public places, distributes sanitisers

As part of efforts to curtail the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in the council area, the chairman Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye has continued to fumigate public places including schools, markets and council secretariat.

He also distributed hand sanitisers to the residents while monitoring the disinfection and containment exercise across the seven wards.

Aswani Market, palace of Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka and Ago-Okota Divisional Police Station were among the places disinfected by health and sanitation department of the council.
According to the council chairman, the 3,500 hand sanitisers distributed to the residents of the community are part of the measures put in place by the government to curtail the spread of the virus among the people.

ISOLO MARKET FUMIGATION EXERCISE.

He said: “We are taking various measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus in our council area. We have sensitised the public on the menace of this dreaded disease and the various ways to curtail its spread.

“Now we have followed it up by distributing hand sanitisers to our people to help them promote personal hygiene which we hope would help in no small measure at stopping the spread of coronavirus.”

The Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Dr. Baqqiah Yesufu, said the Emergency Preparedness Response (EPR) Team headed by the council boss has been closely observing and monitoring all activities in the council area to ensure the zero-case status of Isolo LCDA as far as the virus is concerned.
