The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Shamsudeem Olaleye (Shammeh), has announced that the distribution of relief packages for residents of the community will commence on Saturday, April 11, 2020.
This announcement was made in a Press Statement signed by the council boss explaining that the distribution would be in batches beginning from tomorrow.
The statement read: “The first batch of the relief programme will hold on Saturday 11th April 2020. It would be distributed to all the seven political wards through the ward relief committee made up of councillors, supervisors and appointed council representatives in each ward.”
Furthermore it was explained that the first batch is strictly for the elderly (60 years and above), widows and the physically challenged in the community while subsequent batches would be for the youths who dominate the council area.
“The relief programme is strictly for the elderly (60 years and above), widows and the physically-challenged. If you do not fall into any of the aforementioned category, please do not go near the distribution point.”
It was learnt that the packages would be received by members of the ward relief committee made up of councillors, supervisors, appointed council representatives, officials of the Community Development Areas, leaderships of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Islamic associations who would make the distribution in each of the seven wards in the council area.
