Gyms operating within Oshodi-Isolo and Ejigbo have opened with strict measures to avoid over-crowding in order to curb community spread of Covid19.
In compliance with the social distancing order, at Triple A Gym located at Water Corporation in Jakande Estate which resumed training activities last week, only five people were allowed in to train each day.
Since it resumed, the Gym has not been as lively as it was before the Covid-19 lockdown due to the small number of people allowed in.
Speaking with ECHONEWS, the instructor at the Gym who prefers to remain anonymous said: “After the lockdown was eased, I have been receiving calls from members of the Gym telling me they wanted to train. At first I refused but after much pleading, I allowed members of the gym to resume and I made sure that the social distance measure was obeyed in the gym.
“I allow five persons to train daily in the gym and I also make sure that they maintain 2 meters away from each other. I also provide hand sanitizer, soap and water to be used when coming inside the gym and when going out.”
The case was slightly different at the Ejigbo Gym center which is located inside the Ejigbo mini stadium.
It was gathered that few people are allowed to train at the gym only on weekends.
