Councillor Adeoye gives relief package to 150 residents

No fewer than 150 residents in Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward of Isolo Local Council Development Area benefitted from stimulus packages distributed by the councilor representing the Ward, Hon. Abisodun Odusina-Adeoye.

According to Adeoye, the stimulus packages which contained foods such as spaghetti, rice, beans, noodles, etc were to complement the efforts of the state and local governments in cushioning the effect of the stay-at-home order, especially, in her immediate community.

Noting that she had been giving her people such support even before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic which led to the stay-at-home order, the councillor promised to continue to give succour to the underprivileged.
Her words: “Well, as they always say, you can’t satisfy everyone. But I did this because I know and feel the negative impact of this stay-at-home order on my people as they stay at home to do their part in the fight against Covid-19. I always wish I have the capacity to do more, to further complement the efforts of the council chairman, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye and the state government.”

Expressing their appreciation, the beneficiaries of the stimulus commended the councilor, testifying that she was known for such intervention in the community.

One of the beneficiaries, Sodiq Ogunderu, who spoke to ECHONEWS said: “I am so happy for this. It will definitely go a long way to sustain myself and my family. Much appreciation to our magnanimous councillor, may God keep elevating her.”

Another resident said: “Adeoye is famous in her ward for such an act which has extended to infrastructural development. She has previously facilitated palliatives on the busy Ire-Akari road, provision of Borehole water to Ire Akari Model Nursery and Primary School, Ishagatedo, amongst other projects since her emergence as the councillor representing Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward in the council area. We believe she can and will still do more.”
