Court To Sentence Man For Stealing Generator Sets

A 30-year-old man, Isaac Thosu, is to be Sentenced by a court in Lagos over theft of generator sets.
Thosu faced prosecution at the Magistrates’ Court in Badagry where he pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing after which the Presiding Magistrate, Nurudeen Layeni, adjourned the matter till May 15 for review of facts and sentencing.
Police Prosecutor, Edet Ekpo, told the court that the offender, on December 29, 2025, at about 8:30pm, stole Elemas Tiger Generators valued at N300,000, both belonging to one Bolaji Bankole at House number 12, New layout, Ilogbo-Eremi in Badagry.
Ekpo said that that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by acting in an unruly manner, thus, contravening the provisions of Section 168 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Thereafter, Layeni, ordered the litigant’s remand at the Nigerian Custodial Centre in Badagry till his re-arraignment.
