Court Remands Two Suspects For Stealing Iron, Copper Worth N230,000

Two suspects, Sunday Daniel and Ibrahim Tenimu, have been held in custody over an alleged theft of iron and copper worth N230,000.
The duo were arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court on Monday where the prosecutor, Adegeshin Famuyiwa, disclosed that Daniel, 20 and Tenim, 25, are facing a two-count charge which they pleaded not guilty to.
Nevertheless, Famuyiwa mentioned that Daniel stole the iron rod valued at N150,000 while Tenimu stole copper worth N80,000, on February 12, all properties belonging to one Landcraft Industry located in Odogunyan in Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 287 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The court granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case till March 29.
