The accused, otherwise known as Shamelon, was arraigned for trial at the court on Tuesday on a three-count-charge bordering on unlawful homicide and grievous assault following his alleged crime committed on August 27, as disclosed by the Lagos State Police Command.

The Police held that Shamelon, 55, pummeled the deceased identified as Imam Ramon, with repeated fist attacks, after which he was rushed to the Lagos State General Hospital in Marina, where he was later pronounced dead by medical professionals.

Also in the sitting, the prosecutor, Anthony Iyeye, stated that the defendant, also on September 27, conspired with others to assault another victim, Omale Samuel, causing him grievous harm.

After the remand order, the court forwarded the case file to the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPP, for legal advice.
