Court Remands Man For Raping Male Victim

An alleged sexual crime has been charged against one Olatunbosun Fayakinnu by the police.

47-year-old Fayakinnu was accused of raping a 25-year-old mechanic.

According to the prosecutor, ASP Aminu Isaac, the suspect is facing charges on sexual assault by penetration and homosexual rape.

Isaac disclosed during the defendant’s trial at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court that the victim was summoned to come fix a faulty car at the accused residence in Ikorodu.

He said, “Fayakinnu, 47, commited the offences on June 24 at about 11:30am at N0 20, Island Avenue, Iloti Olunla, Agbede, Agric area, Ikorodu.

“The suspect hired the victim, a 25-year-old mechanic, to come and work on his car at his residence. He then lured and engaged him in sexual penetration inside his room.”

He further said that the victim lost his sight moments after the incident.

“After a while, the victim could not see again.”

“The offences contravene the provisions of Section 261 and 265 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

The Magistrate, Olagbegi Adelabu, did not take the suspect’s plea. He adjourned the case till August 8 for legal advice from the office of the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
