Court Jails Man 7ys For Assaulting Agency Official
An injunction at the Ikeja Special Offence Court in Lagos has sentenced one Idowu Ogbolu to seven years in jail for assaulting a Lagos State agency official.
Ogbolu was said to have or assaulted and obstructed the victim, Idris Seriki and others of the The Lagos State Building Control Agency, LABSCA, during their lawful discharge of duties.
According to the LABSCA Public Affairs Director of LASBCA, Adu Ademuyiwa, the lawbreaker was arraigned on a five-count charge, to which he pleaded guilty to all counts.
The charges were brought under relevant provisions of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015,
The victim gave oral evidence, tendering photographs of injuries sustained as a result of the assault. The photographs were admitted by the court as exhibits. The prosecuting counsel thereafter moved the court to sentenced the defendant accordingly.
