The leaderships of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Eti-Osa Local Government have collaborated to facilitate the construction of Monastery -Mopo Ogombo road which links both council areas.
The collaboration was made with a non-governmental organisation, Medallion Data Centre Limited which fully funded the project as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the local communities.
The chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LG, Hon, Abdullahi Olowa noted that the idea was borne out of the consideration of the masses as both councils are making efforts to ease gridlock in their respective areas.
He said they hope that the link road would be passed whenever there is gridlock which will reduce the congested state of the main road and give commuters access to accomplish their aim in a short while.
The 4.2klm road project which has been flagged off was awarded to Skyline Builders Limited to take 6 months duration for construction.
Olowa urged residents around the area to cooperate with the workers and adhere strictly to whatever rules they make as their adherence is majorly to ensure the safety of life and property.
