The Councillor of Ward ‘D’ at the Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council, Mr. Bashir Saheed Omogbolahan, also known as ‘Elewedu’, has launched the “Black to White Project” to enhance learning environments in public primary schools by donating whiteboards.

Echonews reports that the project is just one of the twenty initiatives he has spearheaded since taking office in July 2021.

The decision to provide whiteboards stemmed from discussions with the Head Teacher of Ajelogo Primary School during a football tournament held.

The Local Councillor sees these educational initiatives as a way to support the efforts of other government officials in providing quality education for Nigerian children.

“I am a product of public primary education in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, I am an alumnus of Orisigun Primary School, Ketu. Thus, my commitment as a grassroots lawmaker is to put smiles on the faces of pupils because I understand the wrong societal belief associated with public primary schools”

“Therefore, in a bid to complement the enormous investment of the Federal, State and Local Governments in providing quality education, I took this upon myself to ensure eight percent of my intervention programs are tilted in favor of the next generation”

In attendance to grace the unveiling of the project were some executive members of the All Progressives Congress in the Ward ‘D’ Area of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
