Following the presentation of the 2023 appropriation bill of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, the legislative arm has said it will soon embarke on review of the budget before being passed.
The budget tagged: “Budget of Economic Development and Sustainability” was presented to the House by the council chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa.
Wgile receiving the proposed budget, the council lader, Hon. Mojeed Olayinka said the legislature will ensure proper scrutiny of the budget to continue to aid community progress.
He commended the chairman for his efforts towards portraying good leadership since the inception of his administration.
Olayinka further promised the council boss that they would continue to fulfil their mandate both at the wards they represent and at the council level to synergize with the executive body.
The appropriation bill is expected to be passed into sooner to give the government opportunity to execute the laid down projects.
