Council Chairman Gives School Bags, Writing Materials To Pupils In VI

The Chairman, Iru/Victoria Island LCDA, Honourable Rasheedat Adu, has distributed educational materials to young students in the community.

Rasheedat while stating that the educational efforts by the students and their parents need to be supported and commended said that the provision is to propel the students to strife more in their academics.

The Council Chairman, at the occasion during the close of a Summer Coaching organized by the council gave out items such as lunch boxes, school bags, towels, writing materials.

Rasheedat in her address emphasized on the importance of the use of indigenous languages in classes. She said that the use of mother tongue will help enhance and preserve societal values and keep the pupils glued to the traditions of the country.

She implored the students to further show more commitment in their studies to ensure a successful future.
