Continuing Education Programme is one of the programmes under the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education to increase education opportunities for youths and adults across the state and ultimately eradicate illiteracy to the barest level.

The centre’s Co-ordinator, Mr. Abdul-Ganiyu Salaudeen said the initiative is to ensure that everyone in the state be it dropouts, young entrepreneurs or adults who could not enrol for the normal class activities do not deprive themselves of education as they can enrol for any of the mass literacy programmes which hold basically in the afternoon.

His word: “Education is now inclusive to everybody and no one should say they don’t have the opportunity to be educated. Excuses like age barrier or that the morning lecture is not convenient are not sensible anymore. They can come and take advantage of the continuing education programme, take the courses and become educated. There’s no age limit. We have for adults and the younger ones, there’s no age limit. We hope others out there will come and register for the program.”

She disclosed that she will be joining Art Department in the senior class as her future aspiration is to become a newscaster.

The principal of the school, Mr. Oduguwa congratulated the students for the success of the junior class program as she advised them on the need to remain focus and make the government proud of them.

She added that there’s no dichotomy of any sort between their contemporaries who attend the normal morning classes and them emphasising that the sky is their beginning.
